Frankie J. Biography
Frankie J. was born on Feb. 6th in McCloud, California and his music career began at the age of seven with the tenor sax but soon after he discovered he piano, Hammond B-3 organ, vibraphone and bass and electric guitars. He has been performing professionally for over fifty-two years from California and Oregon to Hawaii including a USO tour in Korea, Taiwan and Japan. He played at the historic Playboy Club in San Francisco, performed with the legendary Cab Calloway, played for Charles Schulz' annual birthday celebrations and many private parties and winery engagements in N. California including Robert Mondavi Winery, Niebaum-Coppola Winery and Harlan Estate Winery.
Frankie J. attended Sonoma State University majoring in music and fine-tuning his skills as a pianist, organist, keyboardist, composer, songwriter, producer, arranger, musical director, orchestrator and vocalist.
From 1989-2001 Frankie J. taught piano lessons to over two hundred students in Sonoma and Napa counties.
Frankie J. has performed with many other artists over the years and has led various bands under his own name.
Currently Frankie J. performs as a soloist and as a duo with vocalist and fiance', Libby Valley. He also is producing a C.D. for himself, produced a C.D. in 2003 with Libby Valley and is currently working with his daughter, Christina Jones on her first C.D. In 2001 he released his first C.D., "A Frankie J. Christmas: It's All Seasonal".
Frankie J.'s life purpose is to share his God given talents by joining together families and friends to create beautiful music to share with the world, promoting love, peace and a sense of purpose for All humans.
Frankie J. just performed for the third year in a row in the 2005 13th Annual Mendocino County Professional Piano Concerts held in Ukiah.
